Hey, fuck off!!!  I regularly beat Lotus' in my SXi... Its got 17s and I whoop them all the time on the dual carriageway Come 2 think of it I always beat my old boss' Boxster S 2 NOT
Seriouslt tho, when I had 15s still on my brand new SXi (C) I had just over 105mph goin slightly downhill on the dual carriageway which wud figure as the top speed s 106mph and it wasnt gonna go any faster so 110mph + is bullshit!

You all seem to forget what the Elise does best, which is go round corners VERY fast. Put 2 equal drivers in each of the cars and see which one gets to the finish line of a racetack. The Elise will win everytime.

i got a 1.2 n i think its "nippy" but it aint fast, had it up to 110mph along M25 going downhill for ages

I'm not saying sxi's are fast, I'm not saying punto's can beat elises...
but there's one thing everyone forgets... Just because someone has a fast car, it doesn't automatically make them good / fast drivers!
lots of rich pricks out there that have bought a fast car with their huge salarys, but they might still not be able to drive for shit.
Yes a elise can corner v.well but if the stupid prick behind the wheel loses his bottle and slows down for the corner that all doesn't matter!
You don't usually find sxi owners saying they're cars done stupid speeds, its usually the 1.2 8vs which do the crazy talk...
Sure you'll find sxi owners saying they've had 115 or something on the clocks... but thats around 106 in reality which is the standard figure anyway!
