153bhp saxo should still kill off a 2.0 ltr corsa

I dont quite think so

And yes, a Supercharged Saxo would beat a 2.0litre Corsa bottom end. Would be close at top end. Results fromt eh Corsa Vs Saxo day prooved this.

just had a look at the corsa vs saxo day feature in redline and the only s/c saxo there was a vtr, a supercharged vts would absolutely cane a corsa 2.0 16v.

also: in terms of nik's gti keeping up with a corsa 2.0 16v: i believe this very much, steve's GTi with simple mods can run 15.1 1/4 mile times, which is faster than most times for un-modded 2.0 16v corsas ive seen.

please post the SSC user names so i can ask them about this

Not on 17's it wouldn't

i know, but my mate has been told by the guys at power zone who did all the work a rolling roaded it that his standard manifold is restricting it,plus aswell it was his first run on a strip so it could of been a poor reaction time aswell

Na my best at Brunters was 13.75 @ 104.61mph due to shit(standard)engine mounts not allowing me to change gear quickly.

Brunters 1/4 mile was kinda uphill though...

Errr..... i had road legal tyres on too.

If you choose not to run a lsd thats up to you.

You dont go out on a hot summers day wearing a wet suit do ya?

No, your wear whats appropriate for the occasion dont you, ie i put soft compound tyres and a lsd on my car because i wanted it to go faster.

The 2.0 16v corsa (my old one) was also on 17s. I've raced another local one and it was even. Asked the bloke a few days later in a petrol station what engine it was and he showed me..2.0 16v redtop with a cat back exhaust. Don't see how thats so unrealistic, my 106 weighs a lot less than the corsa and should be running 130-135bhp - decent strong engine, low miles and couple of years old against an old fucked engine out of an Astra GTE or something
