There is no way you kept up with an MGF if they were actually racing and not just you wanting to, they have 1.8 or 1.8 VVC engines, no way could you keep up with that in a standard 1.4 engine, no way no how.
The slowest one you could've raced was 120 bhp, 0-60 in 8.5.
The best 1.4 corsas had 90 BHP with 10.5 0-60, so please don't make false claims.
I can't beat VTR's or MGF's in my Rover 214SEi but I have fun in it and can piss over a lot of boy racers, enough for my liking anyway so just enjoy what you got but please don't say cause you we're level with someone driving slowly you kept up with them.
A mate of mine overtook a Bentley continental GT not too long ago in his 1.1 8v motor, and those bentleys pack around 500BHP

right i'll re-prase wot i sed about the MGF cos this is wot happened. i was behind a lorry on a bypass with the MGF behind me as i overtook the lorry the MGF followed me i stayed in front until the next rounderbout. after the rounderbout he was behind me so i drop in it 5th at 60mph then i saw him gaining he passed me i put in in 4th and was not far behind maybe just a few car lenghts behind, but after he passed me he probable was not goin for it, this is wot i ment by a equal race (even thou it was'nt)

I raced my gf the other day for some shits and giggles.
Both standard cars, mine a 1.4 16v rover, hers a 1.2 8v corsa, lmao, she was trying so hard bless her but I beat her by a long long long long way, was v funny
