130mph from a clio 1.8 16v? That seems a little high?? Maybe mid 120's, but 130 is faster than some 2.0litres?

I cannot see that 0-60 difference being that great as if the williams only pulls a second on the 16v over 1/4 mile and it has more torque it must make that up later on in the 1/4 mile rather than to 60 mph

weill if a standard 106 gti 1.6 16v can do 130 how can't a car with a larger engine and similar weight?

Standard 106GTi doesn't do 130mph though. It does about 125-127mph.
Must reach near that speed though, prob just takes quite a while to get there.

130 easy Daimo yours wud proly be similar speed to a 16v seen as you have got an extra 2 tonne in speakers

3 ive driven did 132 on the clocks when I test drove them... didnt take long to get there... just like hitting a brick wall when I did

Talk sense here people. I had my 1.4 16v engine up to 126mph, but i wasn't doing that speed. I was doing about 115mph.
PLease remember that speedos lie to feck!! Esp in french cars!
