did you enquire as to how they where calculating your speed, or did you just take their word?

also, how much bhp & torque was your car putting out on the rollers?

leon, start again.

What are u trying to say. You had 17" wheel from a 200sx and u went to vauxhall who happend to have a rolling road. U said to them "oih mate i wanna check if my speedo is right"

so off u went with ur 200sx alloys blutacked on cos god knows how else ya got them on let alot fit under the arches cos the will run a 215 tyre at least not a 205 and u got a print out to say ur speed.

Can i ask......... WHY??????

1 month ago or abouts got court for speedin on motorway 2 x in 1 day, convinced i was doin the max you can do 50mph on the temp roadworks.

Got my car tested as i heard that you can have an incorrect speedo with bigger wheels!!!

Had it tested 2 weeks ago!! shown the results on here!!! suspect wheels..
I dont no what they did, but obviously on a rolling road or summit, i got back from VAUXHALL a test paper stating the results! put em on here as i read a post about top speeds: TO BE HELPFUL

NOW i have 15" alloys, sold my 17" alloys which i mistakenly said i brought off a 200sx, (thats the car he had, so i persumed it was off that), than thats y he sold em me as they didnt fit!!!!

Stressed eric or what man!!!

BelieveME????? i int god damn lyin

strange cos when i had 17's they read exactly the same as my dads a4 does at 70 and that has standard wheels so isnt going to underread.

if u wanna calculate (guess-timate) any differences in ur speedo caused by wheels all u have to do is..

1. get a wheel
2. stand it up
3. with some chalk, mark the tyre at the point where it meets the ground and mark the ground at the same point
4. roll the wheel in a straight line, one full rotation (so the mark on the tyre meets the ground again) and mark the ground again.
5. measure the distance between both marks on the ground.

Repeat the steps with what ever wheel u wanna compare it to.

so, with two measured distances and some basic math, u can calculate a % difference in rolling distance. this can be added or subtracted to ur speedo.

bear in mind, that no speedo is 100% accurate, so this is still a 'guess-timate' but at least will give u an idea

Yes thats the one! well it might of passed mot but for 35quid im not risking having a blow out. Any damage is going to weaken a tyre

if its not on the steel and just on the rubber, the outer side, than its not dangerous, its only a little chunk
