lol. beer bottles do alot of damage to a nice hot manifold. i had just driven about 100miles back from lincoln when i hit it

abt of an update today, i dropped the car off at carerra to get a few bits done. will be collecting it either mon or tues, then its time for a realy good clean,mop and polish i think!

hot metal vs glass bottle at 70mph, made a big bang and alot of broken glass lol. its a deep dent but can get repaired for nothing with a welder and a slide hammer

seeing as the car is at the bodyshop and im not driving it about, ive been getting on with sorting out my gf's corsa and finally got round to finishing my centre console. i made it cause i got bored on evening about 6months ago and found it again the otherday

no can do im affarid willay, there the std dials from a calibra. other dials are planned tho for the passenger side in the panel above the glovebox

bumper always sat spot on fly, it was the arches lol

no pics yet as its too dark to get em atm. mayb some this weekend

heres a few pics. i finished work 3hrs early today as we had nothing to do so spent those 3hrs cleaning my car instead.

a couple taken from the other nite

no dent! (finally)


underside of bonnet after 2hrs of cleaning and a coat of polish (shit photo)


and my new rocker cover bolts, stainless steel to go with the new rocker cover (coming soon)

its dead. if u get nethin shot blasted and painted, make sure u clean it thorougly before fitting it!!!

not seized, just bits of shit got in the engine from the camcover and jammed one of the inlet followers in the head. no telling what other damage there is yet but looking at 16x followers, new cams and poss new cyl head

Thats what happened to fads engine IIRC and he's always been telling people to be careful when shot blasting rocker covers
