Andy does the iphone let ya do what HTC ones do, switch of mobile conncetion and just use wifi? Mine searchs for all available wifis... I know there are free ones too

Yeah turn it onto airplane mode and whack on the wifi, essentially makes it an ipod touch

On mine I can keep it as a phone, but switch off the data connection through the sim. I'll be doing that on the ferry.

just learn how to use your phones you idiots! You need to turn data services off and it won't access the Internet automatically. If you don't know how to do this then post in Geek Day or ring your service provider. I'll be keeping mine on

me too, t mobile do a plug in for a tenner that gives 7 days or 20 meg, should be fine for emails etc

I need to dig out mine and I think I had 2 or 3? Though not sure if giving Lee a walkie talkie will be of any use with all that cabin noise.
