Yeah, seems like they need charging all the time.
Next update will include an option to dim the light bar. Don't know if that'll be enough to actually make an impact on battery life, though.
I just plug lead into my phone charger in the socket at the side of me . I always forget to charge it and it seems to be dead every time I pick it up

Well that's another promising technology that will just get diluted into some massive corporation and wont get developed properly

It'll be running on high end PC's in those videos.
There's no saying how it'll actually look on PS4.

Not yet. Most gaming sites have given their first impressions. General consensus seems to be that it's very good.
360 degree head tracking and general comfort is better than the Rift.
Though Rift is typically described as a tad more polished, overall.
It's worth noting that both are in the development stage and that the overall cost of a full VR setup is likely going to be significantly lower with Morpheus than Rift.

It's sounding like that shit you used to think about over a decade ago with computer games, where like you're literally controlling the character on screen with your movement in a headset

I think Forza 5 and the released Driveclub footage are pretty good indications of what we can expect from a racing game, graphics wise, on this gen consoles.
Remember that for VR it'll have to run close to 120 fps for an immersive experience, so likely Project Cars will be nerfed even more when running through Morpheus, compared to it running on a TV screen.

I dont think it will be far off. Pcs have always had the edge but when you factor in the distance you sit from a TV to a pc screen it actually ends up not looking a great deal different. Plus the hardware in these consoles is actually fairly capable even in pc terms plus it's dedicated. I think the gap for a year or two will be fairly small

What?
The distance to the TV doesn't make the grpahics better, they just make you not notice as much that they look worse.
And high end PC's outperform consoles by quite a margin.
Did you see the recently released Watch Dogs PS4 footage compared to last years E3 PC footage? They're miles apart, visually.
And it makes sense. A high end gaming PC is going to set you back 2-3 times the cost of a current gen console, so of course it's going to be more powerful.

I mean that as you are sat further back you don't need to run it such hi res, therefore you can get away with similar amounts of details and visual jiggery pokery such as reduced AA which is a killer, but running at a slightly lower res. Same reason a 1080p 32" TV isn't really going to benefit much over a 720p TV of the same size (unless you sit two feet away)
So yes technically you are correct, but visually in real life, at those distances, not so much.
Its only relatively (last couple of years) maybe, that iv thought any PC game has looked shit loads better than stuff on my 360 when viewed in real life on a TV compared to up close on a monitor.
Of course screenshots are a completely different ball game as you are comparing PC vs TV res on a hi res PC screen up close

It's not just a matter of resolution, though.
Lighting, draw distance, refresh rate, AA, texture quality, physics. Modern PC's kill consoles in all these aspects.
Again, look at Watch Dogs. It's not a matter of running higher resolution. It's a matter of details and effects.
I'm not trying to make a case for PC's, as I'm obviously a console gamer myself, but there's just no argument that the gap is small.
Not now and especially not in two years.
