But the scouse were defending him even this time, until it came out that he was off to Spain.

I think they'll do ok. If they strengthen wisely then they can still compete, as long as Sturridge stays fit.

Sanchez will be a superb signing to whoever gets him. I'm just amazed Barcelona want rid given his performances last season.

Last season? He was pretty poor for Barca imo.
Also, they'll need to balance the books with regards to FFP, so buying Suarez means Sanchez will be off

Strongly disagree, Cavey. In the CL he did next to nothing but 19 goals in 27 starts with 10 assists tells you he didn't do too badly. But the big thing, is he was at his very best when Messi was out. Neymar too iirc.

Last week one of the other Dads from my sons class said to me that once he starts scoring again next season, he won't care about the biting. I pretty much walked away....
Need to revisit that with him this week. See if his opinion is still the same when he starts scoring next season.....for Barca!

Jeremy Wilson and John Cross (generally moderately reliable when it comes to Arsenal) have been quoting (presumably fed by Arsenal) Sanchez/Debuchy nearing (the latter is all but done given his own press conf quotes, doubt Sanchez is that far along!) and L.Bender is next... I swear down theyre just trying to make my cock explode
I'd love LB but wouldn't be surprised if that one was being spoon fed to cover the real DM target (Schneiderlin being the only really genuine option at this stage IMO)

ofc the window has barely been open but if I were a Liverpool fan, id be exceptionally concerned that they seem to be following the spuds lead in selling their best player for a fortune and trying to sign a bunch of semi-decent and potentially future star players... could all change if they can sign a top quality replacement ofc but atm, potentially £80m in for Suarez and going straight back out on Can, Lambert, Lallana, Lovren, Markovic and Origi feels distinctly Sp*rs-esque

No he was superb last season, it was his best season by far. You can attribute his poor form to his previous seasons, though, where he certainly failed to live up to his Udinese performances.

Which in itself you can probably attribute to being forced to play however Messi needed him to play etc.

All attacking players at Barcelona/that sign for Barcelona will surely understand that.

City about to sign Willy Caballero, good signing that. Apparently not interested in Sanchez.
