thing is, its not actually that easy to drive. you'd imagine its point and shoot sort of thing but its actually quite tricky to keep it in a stright line. it pulls all over the place in 4th and 5th. mans torque steer that is. also, you cant just bang it off limiter and change gear. in 2nd you have to hold it for a short while before changing to 3rd. in 3rd, let it limiter then it will drop back to soft cut as it spins but drive against it, it will then grip, into 4th. same again, drive against soft cut as it spins, gets grip, just past 7k change to 5th.
i was exhausted after doing all that for 15 times today.

the above only really applied for today. hopefully if we get chance to mess about with stuff it might not spin in 4th and just be pure grip. but i doubt it.

should dive up next time we go. maybe in may if yours will be running again by then?
my first race was against the jdm v6 transit. johnny had a right laugh up there all day with us.
was doing data logging on a couple of runs. flat out down the strip low 12's with johnathan sat there happily looking at his lap top as if it was normal.

yeah, he was doing peel outs then up to the line. he got a 16.1 which was kinda similar to most the fiesta st's if not quicker than some. good laughs indeed.

its good fun alright. far better when its not raining and can get grip better. was all over the motorway. had some interesting moments on the country lanes after the services. some quality roads down there. well, if you know them.
tonights antics, apart from meeting the quality fella known as bethoml, were as follows.
some polybush spring things made by prodrive. come on delivery cars, mazda mps etc.
fitted to corsa. also put the rear spax on the hardest setting. and yep, it does seem better. far less squatting from the rear. even if them things in the springs look odd, if they do work, im happy.

aye, stop the rear squatting so much as that can lift the front end. want the back higher than the front, and to stay higher than the front also. think of it like a see-saw. one side goes down other goes up. i know it dont work exactly like that, but its best example i could think of.
