Sean I used Gunk to agitate all the oil and shizzle then wiped it all off with a cloth, came up pretty good with just that but I T-Cutted it afterwards too

Not to far away now, me and my dad started the wiring yesterday, just got to sort the wiring out for the fuel relay and pump next but my dad wasn't around to help me out today. But its nearly there. Still need to go to my dads work and get the other bits like the radiator and stuff, next weekend it WILL be running

Anyway with not much left to do I thought I'd give it a quick going over, just double checked everything to make sure it was all ok , then gave it a wash.

Would be rude not to take a couple of pics

Also I got a set of these wheels a while back as a spare set, think there of a Corsa C? I was never keen on them so never posted it up tried one on today to see how it looked, shit! So they can stay as my spare set!

Also polished up my strut brace as it was very dull,

Not much left to do now

Just so you don't forget mate

Yep those spare wheels are off the Corsa C SXI (also found on early SRis) It's looking pretty good now though mate, it must be said. Two things that would really top it off imo is if you did the cam belt cover red like the rocker cover and get a debadged grille on there!

Doesn't even necessarily have to be debadged, I stuck an Irmscher "i" on mine:

Cheers Dave, I knew were of a C off some sort but didn't know which model, are they worth much? I got them for free of a car my dad scrapped in work

I was looking at debadged grilles but I'm really after a Steinmetz one if I'm honest, haven't come across one yet though, might just go for one like yours. And the cam belt cover will be going red I just haven't been bothered with things like that just yet, been concentrating on getting it running All in good time

Your Corsa was my main inspiration when I was trying to decide which bumper combo too go for, loved yours when you had it

Looks like a cracking wee car, fantastic amount of work put in!

Some kind of de-badged grill would look well.

More engine bay pics?

No probs mate There's usually some on eBay mate, they fetch half decent money if they're in good nick and have good tread. Even badly kerbed ones will go for over £100.

Even if you get a Supernovas one for £8 or whatever it is for time the being it'll help a bit You'll always be able to sell it on too.

Thanks mate Just a shame mine didn't have a proper engine to match the understated looks

If you keep the V Grille, make sure you smash all the crap off the back of it - it dropped running temps on my XE by about 2 degree's

I've no idea why they covered the back of that grille in plastic Maybe to make it more aerodynamic to give the 12v an easier time

I'll be there but I'm not sure if the car will

If it is there we'll probably bring it up on my dads flat bed , can't see it being up and running by then tbh.
