finally bought a drone, picked up my phantom 3 professional last week. had a hubsan x4 drone to practice on first which after a few crashes got quite easy to control but the phantom is in a completely different league ofcourse. very smooth and easy to control (well for the basics anyway) ive only taken the phantom out twice and still getting used to it, very impressed with it, the 4k footage is rather great, just need to master circling subjects and generally controlling the camera controls

So rebuilt my F450, stopped flying it because it became unreliable and kept crashing, so went back to stock esc's, stock motors, new frame, new landing gear and a Tarot 2D gimbal which is fantastic, very stable and wobble free. Means I have control of the camera tilt from the remote now as demonstrated in this vid

Some images
Runs super smooth

Don't be absurd.
My uncle brought his round mine wanging it around like it was an amazing new invention. I was like mate, welcome to 2013. It did make me want to get mine in a decent working order though

Its crazy to think that the F450 is now 'retro'.. It was the ARTF quad that started the DJI boom
I remember when my mate was one of the first people to get hold of a F550 in the UK and I was blown away! I then ordered the ARTF F450 kit for nearly 200 bloody quid! I recently gave it away for nothing to my mate who was getting into the hobby because they just sell for nothing now as everything is moving so fast
I sold all of my FPV gear, including the 250 racer.. I've been too absorbed with the bus and our son will be born soon and no doubt I'll have no time for playing with my own toys
I did however keep the Phantom, a GoPro, video goggles and my DX9.
The new 180 size class seems to now be the way forward for the racing quads by the way Aaron

Maybe you could just take it completely to pieces and then put it back together gradually over 5 years?

My school want me to do some aerial shots of the school and the adjacent cathedral so started using the protune mode on the go pro, basically almost like a RAW capture. Comes off the camera looking like shit then you have to post process it.
No expert at post processing, but heres a quick tester I made to practice on - watch in HD

Of course the original non youtube compressed version looks a million times clearer
Think Im going to upgrade to the Hero 4 Black edition to shoot the school (sounds wrong )

Didn't some retard on here once say something like "wow, you can see the curvature of the Earth in that vid" (referring to video footage like the one in the link).
Could have been a different forum tbf

I've noticed that when you yaw it can introduce some drift in the roll axis, seems to be quite a common thing with this gimbal, I put in some different gain settigns for it last night that is meant to help but haven't as yet been able to test.
Its not out the whole time, just sometimes after you yaw, more so if you do it quickly

They are pretty good for the money on the whole. I'm fairly sure the drift issue is fixable, most people seemed to have sorted it anyway with the gain changes

The problem with them is you can endlessly tinker and tune but its like it gets up out of the wrong side of the bed one day and forgets everything you've taught it.
The Feyutech ones are the same!
If you're going to change get a Zenmuse H3-3D they are cheap as chips these days an just work out of the box.
I've NEVER touched any settings on mine:
