They were also about £17 cheaper so means I can buy neoprene covers for wet/cold days if needed.

Went out on a solo ride this morning, the weather in Cannock was horrendous, managed to go the whole hog without stopping! Quite pleased with that seeing as me and my normal riding buddy stop a few times for a natter.

I went to calshot about 20 years ago 0n a school trip. Never used the velodrome but it was quite impressive seeing as I had never seen one before. Couldn't quite believe the angle of the banking.

Get some speed up on that! New record mile last night in 2mins 42seconds for me. Hashtag fitness. Off on mountain bikes on Saturday afternoon as a mate has one out on a demo for the day.

will be needed as they are very breathable :-P
Took some pics of my updated fleet
carbon bike gone :-(

got given this

fancied trying 29inch wheels and mate was selling a cube analogue.
updated the spec to
full xt 2x10 gearing and groupset. love it
Manitou tower forks, again lovely and plush and actually seem better then my old fox f32s
all in all happy with the change and will enjoy competing on it this year. just a bit of a lump compared to the old scott

also wanted to get a cheap road bike to get some exercise on the go whilst the trails are a bog. found this on ebay for £80. All fsa parts and shimano sora. rides nice and im quite enoying the road. might upgrade to a better machine in future.

Still got my little dmr toy too which is great for a summer mess around :-)

Drives supercharged Tec with torque

Anyone got any advice for killing thighs?
Im doing 8-10 mile a day 5 days a week. By thurs/fri my legs are just agony and feel like they wanna give up.
Is it just a lack of fitness, or do I need to be trying something different?
Ive adjusted seat by following a few guides, and feel its got better since adjusting it.

Probably this I am afraid.
I now cycle to work and I notice a lot of people that I go past are pushing a huge gear.
Keep your cadence high and your gear low. If you are pushing a huge gear when you dont need to, this will make your thighs hurt.

To be honest on my road bike on the flat I can ride at 20mph comfortably without having to use the highest 3 or 4 gears.
