nice to see one of the better corsa's on here is living on hopefully
with regard to running in, have a read up about the first starting proceedure and running in, and chose your own opinion as to whether to give it alot of revs/load on the first start to bed the rings in, or whether to just take it easy. some people believe in one method, others believe another

yeah aren't you supposed to give it some stick for short periods, to get the rings to bed in and to prevent glazing?

finally some more progress 21.11.2007
now i have all the engine rebuild parts i made a start on rebuilding the engine this morning. refitted the crank and painted the block a nice shade of BLACK. i liked the blue but it showed up the dirt and oil leaks too much.
tomorrow i will carry on rebuilding it and im hoping that i can get the block and the gearbox fitted back inthe engine bay this weekend, if not get the whole engine in there again

nice work on the battery tray, long time coming imo. Personally I would of kept the block a colour like blue/red so its easier to spot leaks!

At how many points does the battery tray join to the inner wing/bulkhead? Looks like its got some bolts on it on one of the pictures?
I'm going to remove mine next week but don't want to make a mess. Did you use a grinder or brute force?

more progress from today. the bottom end is almost completely built, largely thanks to my service manager for letting me work on it throughout the day when we had no work in.
heres a few pics, as u can see i decided to give it a fresh clean look
as for the colour change, there wont be any leaks to show up lol
