Id be wary of that, there would of been a whole lot more work done to convert that to 16v, more chance of bodgery!

Give it a month, you will have a desire for an extra 8 valves
When my yellow XSI was an 8v, it was prob around 120bhp, cammed, raised rev limit, full exhaust etc, a standard VTS whooped it
Not so when it was 16v

Thought it was, can tell by the interior. The 1.4 is still a good engine, Badgersports is a 1.4 iirc.

Going to source a 2nd dash and have that sent off then fit it once back, easier that way. I have other bits here ready to fit, manual winders and mirrors. Got a lot to do on it now.

I find that the best way....get all the parts together and fit all at the same time. Will be ace with the flocked dash in. You going to be keeping the carpet or get rid? suppose you could always remove the sound deadening under the carpet that weighs a fair bit!

Carpet will be coming up when I can motivate myself to do it and rip the deadening up at the same time have grip tape here to go in the footwells.

The heaviest deadening is the stuff that goes up behind the dash. Can cut along it but just as easy to pull the dash forward.

Just wait till you drive one, the only bit I like about going to work is the thrashing I give it there and back
Not sure if I've posted this before either...
