no shop mate

Crazy, aint it... I suppose I'm turning my wrist in more in this one though...

I did plyometrics today, chest and back yesterday...

Basically I skipped my rest day this week because i drank so much at the weekend I felt i needed to work out on a sunday... so tommorrow will be arms and sholders... I may set it back to how it was at some point!

to be honest, I've just looked at my starting pics and i can definately see changes throughout.

well I don't want to get big... although I keep maxing out all my dumbells and having to buy more.

I got york dumbells (proper cheap), but allows me to add weights..

I keep having to add weights for bicep curls, rows, etc...

Fuck it, im going to give people bad advice from now on lol. Gained your trust now to exploit it... Protein? you dont need that. Get yourself some weight gain shakes. 3 of those a day with lots of pasta and white bread. All you need is bicep curls an leg extensions and you will get massive. Word.

Ill do one meet next year, in the summer when ive had time to do a decent cycle and get a tan. then ill suck in my gut and walk around flexed and do a runner if i hear the words P90x or cosmo

Not for me, ill wear some y fronts and get a nice natural bodybuilding wedgie going on.

Could maybe do it at PVS next year, instead of a wet tshirt comp we could have a baby oil 'BRING IT' comp

I blame Dizzy

Anyway, the worst work out tomorrow, going to have to do it earlier as going the match tomorrow night. Decided to drive so I wont be having a drink - which will be the first time not drinking at the match for years.

it's all hard at first, but i'm starting to find it easier, like the first time i did plyometrics practically killed me - today I was doing it a lot more competently!

Keep at it...

Three things I'm sucking at with p90x...
- Eating enough real protein a day.
- Stopping drinking alcohol
- Doing pull ups

Im telling you, use the chair method for now and get in plenty of them instead of maybe one or two without it. Then in a few weeks time when the next phases start you'll be able to punch out a few more on their own.

basically everytime I do the pull ups, I try a couple of real ones... first time couldn't do shit, lately I can get up there (with help from a small hop up), then lower myself down and start coming up, but fail.
After a couple of failures of them, I get my toolbox out, put 1 foot on it and then use that to punch out 12-15.
It uses a lot of your lower / upper back muscles which I don't really have. Will see how it improves over time.

weird thing is, I can do a pull up if I try now, but after doing push ups and other pull ups like in chest and back my arms are too knackered to do 1 by the time i get to pull ups.

Its the solider push ups that kill me on the second round. I cant do a fair few in the first, but second time round my arms just give way

Did i mention you can use resistance bands as help during pullups?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TindOf7zyXM&feature=related

Much easier than the chair method

I can do miltary push ups easier using my pull up bar on the floor (as I haven't got press up bars).

I find press ups easy because my upper body weight is light.

Yeh Dizzy, I was going to get resistance bands but didn't know which to go for, they say 'light / med / heavy' - but what does that mean?

hook me up some links to some good resistance bands and I'll order them, some push up bars and get one of those maximuscle shakers (as i'm sick of cleaning my whisk each time).

Light resistance etc. Obviously the lighter the resistance the less help it will be. If you look harder there should be other makes with more levels of resistance. If you search for theraband I'm pretty sure there will be more than 3 options.

I can only ever manage around half of the amount I did in the first round!
