Did the job they needed to, fair play. They may be able to sneak past Italy (I really, really, really doubt it though) but they'd definitely get tonked after that.

Regardless of that, Stevie has been the most consistent performer so far for England imo and repaid Woy for giving him the captaincy.

Both entire associations needs completely revamped.

There is bias, poltics and antiquated rules running through both from top to bottom. Not to mention funny handshakes and notes in brown envelopes.

On another topic.... Ibra's goal was special. He pisses me the fuck off with his lazy, lethargic displays for 89 minutes then 1 of absolute wizardry

The 2 calls are unrelated. In general terms England aren't particularly lucky because the offside basicall cancels out the goal, however, the 5th official or whatever the fuck ou call him has made an absolutely disgraceful call that is as clear as day even at full speed.

"Additional Assistant Referee
Recent trials, for example at the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League group stage, have been started to make place for an additional two assistant referees to be added to the game, positioned behind the goal lines, in order to "ensure that the Laws of the Game are upheld, informing the referee of incidents of any kind that he may otherwise have missed, particularly in key areas of the field like the penalty area and its surroundings," but only informing the referee of their observings through a wireless communication system. Their positioning gives a good view to assist the referee in "ghost goal"-type incidents. The trial was evaluated by IFAB technical experts.[5]
This trial was later extended to the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League and qualifying games and the final tournament for the UEFA Euro 2012. Their reception has been mixed"
