Is he any good? I'm rather concerned at the amount of cash we seem to be throwing around. Can we actually afford this and the stadium move? Or is this a sign of intent?

I seen him play in 1 game this summer, few weeks ago. Admittedly not the best way to judge a player but to me he looked awesome and someone destined for the very top. Probably akin to your Mascherano, Tevez signings.
