Nice. 140ps version from the 1.0 Ecoboost? Very nice.

Red is the version to go for as the Black stuff is subtle. Black with red bits is rancid.

Do you people get GAP insurance should you/someone else completely spanner the car and the payout doesn't cover the contract value?

Take the red roof and mirror wrap off (if it's vinyl, i'm unsure) and you have the best looking one.

The red looks like a proper chav wagon, it's shocking. The black one as standard is even more shocking.

I always wondered this, although pretty sure you can get an agreed valuation with your car insurer for much cheaper?

Don't you have to be able to show that the car is actually worth more than they are offering though? If the value plummets (aka like any Vauxhall ) then an agreed value won't work surely or everyone would be claiming there 5 year old car was worth far more than it actually is.

I had gap insurance on my focus st as it was like £150 for 2 years cover.

You can get it cheaper than that though.

Haven't got it on the fiesta st. No need really, i get discount so i won't lose much, if anything, if the worst happened. Always been given money back on the cars i've px'd.

That reminds me of a story.. A guy I used to work with (he's lovely bloke but a bit of a chump) was sold Gap insurance and the corrosion protection for his Brabus Smart Roadster that he bought outright with cash

How I laughed.

That isn't that daft though, as at least he'd get all the cash back if it was written off. Dad had GAP insurance on his M3 even though it was owned. Piece of mind to walk back into a dealership and buy the same car again if the worst happened.

Red with black roof, mirrors and wheels don't look all that bad.

Like saying every fancy DS3 is a chav wagon...

It'a not bait everyone has a red/black edition in work. I just don't like them.

The side of the reds are bright red also. Bit 'in your face' for me.

The black editions as standard are proper gay though. An old guy about 60 drives one in work and he looks like the biggest bell sniffer ever.

They're also releasing red and black edition focus' soon, so i'm guessing they're selling rather well.

140ps is great output from the 1l, which is a tremendous engine. Very good acceleration up to 3 figures, which is perfect for most applications.

The 140ps ecoboost engines map to 180 too, so you can have a faux ST for very cheap

165 if you want warranty, lacking a bunch of torque too,

and not cheap to have done http://www.mountune.com/index.php/services/performance-upgrades/fiesta/fiesta-1-0t-2013

As opposed to the bonnet and boot which isn't as red?
