Alien Covenant - 8.5/10 - brilliant in every sense!!
i liked it but i did find it a bit annoying with the speed of the gestation period and how fast the aliens became fully grown..
also, one thing that truley baffled me.. when we see the first ever proper alien breach the chest its like a mini fully grown adult, arms, legs the lot.. but in the original it was like a little worm.. why would evolution go backwards..
stuff like that puts a downer on films for me.. feels rushed..
Is it not meant to follow on from Prometheus, and set before the original alien film? Therefore, evolution hasn't gone backwards?
I think you need to go watch it bud, you obviously havent watched it.

No I haven't watched it, hence why I'm asking a genuine question.

Its set 10 years after prometheus.
In covenant you see the first baby alien burst out of someones chest, after what appears to be 2 mins of being face hugged..
The baby alien chest burster is litterally a baby alien, its got its arms and its legs.. so if that was the first ever chest burster, why in "alien" and all other ones the chest burster is a worm thing..
To me, thats evolution backwards..

Ah ok, I see now. Yeah the alien in the original was a worm type thing for sure, so yeah......it is kinda like de-evolution!

**spoiler alert**
Could someone clear up something in that film. We see the ship that they crash landed onto the planet and then we see David arriving in a ship and releasing the virus on all the people. What happened between the crash landing and him being in that ship?

Just watched Memento, I know it's an oldie but somehow missed it the first time round.
Really good! Clever. The missus liked it too and she rarely comments on things we watch lol. Ending could have been a bit stronger though.

LIFE- 6/10- poor acting from everyone involved, shit cgi alien and for what its able to do, the sci-fi horror deaths could have been better and a really predictable ending
