UPDATE:
4th October....
Sorry this has taken so long. I've got updates on loads of the cars from my thread. But i'll start with the boring one first... My Wiesel Powered VRS
Ever since I brought the car she'd be crying out for some decent Dampers (as the rest of the suspension had already been uprated). So I got her some Koni FSD's
Old
Old v New
Eibach springs swopped over
And fitted
Old v New on the rear
And fitted
New Rubber... 215 40 17 Yoko Parada's
Short Shifter conversion....Free Mod that actually mades a big difference.
Original Gear level height
Extend groove for gear knob and hack 1" off
Bingo, a much nicer shorter throw Gearknob
The car at Trax this year
Lots more to come.....

UPDATE:
6th October
VXR Time
As some of you will remember a mate of mine had his pride & joy impreza stolen earlier this year His replacement car was a brand spanking Astra VXR Nurburgring Edition.
As we were going on our Annual Ring road trip late september he thought he'd better start with the Mods before the trip so it wasn't "Just another Burg Edition"
First up the wheels were powder coated gloss black
Note how much the wheel to arch gap shows up now
So it was time for some Lowering (Eibach Sportline 30mm springs)
Its sooo easy to change the suspension on Vauxhalls
A couple of hours later
Lol... it was dark by then
Then on to this years Nurburg road trip (will do a full report, but for the time being here's the pics of the Astra)
She did 8 laps and was in the low 9minute bracket (not bad considering he was taking it "easy" lol)
And now she had Earn't the sticker
And finally missing the ferry by 2 minutes!
To be Continued...

Right, from an Astra to an AX now...
Remember my mates 1.6 16v VTS powdered AX?
Well for the last few months he's been rather busy with it. Firstly some new lightweight fibreglass bonnet & wings were added
And more importantly a fully rebuilt overbored, forged, cam'd, Throttle Bodied etc etc Engine
KMS? No I had never heard of it either
We configured a base map ourselves to run it in
Then it went for an initial Map at THOR Racing. Its currently putting out 165bhp @ Fly but there's more to come once the cam timing is set up, then it'll be back on the dyno for more mapping.
In the mean time the car did Castle Combe.
Then Silverstone (Trax)
They couldnt believe it wasn't a Saxo
Then he went and stuffed it into the kitty litter... with my girlfriend in the passenger seat
Removing the stones with a good shake
Then it was on to the Nurburgring
Then last weekend we took the old girl to Mallory Park (R5 GT Turbo owners day had a few spaces left )
Time for some R888's me thinks
The owner (Chris) Very kindly let me have a session in the car on the track (Muchas fun) Then later in the day I did a session in a 270bhp VX220 Turbo which I can honestly say felt no quicker round the track (straightline torque you could feel but the cornering and braking forces felt the same) Which was reflected in the lap times (the VX was 1 second faster a lap). So the little AX is not a bad little track car at all And there's more to come.

UPDATE:
7th October
Corsa time But not mine yet.... My Missus's
Prior to this years Nurburgring trip (which myself and my lady friend shared the driving in her car) we thought the Corsa could do with a couple of Modifications before we went.
Yep thats a bog standard 1.2 16v lump ready to take on the RING
First off we pinched the Carbon bonnet from my mates valver
Then some Crystal Smoked headlights, rear mudflaps, Strut brace, new brakes and a good service followed by a good clean and wax and she was ready to go
8 Laps later (2 of which the missus did) and I was more than happy with her 10 mins 38secs with traffic!!! Considering on the back straight she wouldn't pull past 65mph I was chuffed. The little 1.2 did us proud and even overtook a few Porsche's & Jags

UPDATE:
10th October
Time for the Leon Cupra R (This has since changed hands since I last reported on it) its now owned by another mate who's just spanked another £1000+ into it Its now sporting FORGE's new Larger Intercooler (replacing the twin setup they have as standard)
It also now has Twin De-CAT's and the old REVO stage 2 has been removed and replaced with a full custom Re-MAP. The car's now putting out 284bhp & 315lb's ft Torque Which was more than enough to see the Astra VXR off on the way to the Ring.
At the RING
Last time the car was there a year ago it ended up in the Armco in search for an 8min lap But this year it survived
