Thanks Kev no good it sat around in a garage/drive! Yeah I used some generic carpet dye on eBay. Just put in car carpet dye and it'll come up. It's a big 5liter tub, I only used half of it for all my carpets.

Epic thanks need to do a roof lining and few other bits lol

Well it went to the 'ring as shown in the video from Kev

I did quite a lot beforehand which I have lots of photos of but they're struggling to upload so will put them in when I can.

Basically the gearbox really was on its last legs. So I bought one off a Porsche specialist, stripped it to the gearset and then put it in mine with my nice LSD. Then drilled a few holes, tapped some AN fittings ran some line and mounted a pump and cooler to it to keep it cooler as it was getting too hot previously.

These are the only photos I've got uploaded on my photo bucket of the trip so far - At least they are nice ones

The car has really come along the last year. It felt like it encouraged so much more confidence than any of the other times since the turbo.

I managed a 9:24 this year which I know is breaking no records but it is an almost 30 second jump from last year. I've just got to improve a bit more as a driver now the car is at a much higher level than me.

So still no photos of the gearbox cooler setup but I have got some nice photos of it out at Bedford a couple of weekends ago.

The car drove absolutely spot on. I was so happy with the way it was driving all day. I've got to sort a new steering intermediate shaft as my one is showing up as quite worn now but apart from that I was very happy!

My laps were so much better than last time we visited bedford, I played around with tyre pressures a bit and got it feeling really good when hot, cold tyres proved to be a bit sketchy on the first few laps

The gearbox has definitely helped lap times just due to the fact I'm not worried it's going to pop out of third of shifting to 2nd to make sure I'm safe. Brakes were once again spot on.

So I've had an exhaust blow for a while and after wanting a bit more noise now this isn't a daily driver, I decided to sort that out.

Spot what's wrong with this:

New system being made - As some will be able to tell, I am NOT a welder. I'm merely "having a go" and learning as I do it:

So I've deleted the back box and added a centre silencer.

*****UPDATE*****

So a couple of things have been happening, mainly enjoying it.

Firstly I replaced the steering shaft and added ARB stiffeners to the front. The steering shaft has made one hell of a difference

Secondly it got put on a rolling road. Unfortunately something isn't right

On paper and the amount of boost I'm running it should be much higher. There's currently a few things that I don't really want to discuss on an open forum going on in the background in order to sort it out so time will tell on that. on the run it did it made 263.1 bhp and 292 ftlb - it was done on a dyno dynamics dyno ( AKA the heartbreaker

)

I had booked another track day at Bedford a while back so attended that with the intension of giving it a shake down/warm up to doing a few more days this year. The car behaved great all day and once again I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
