Only timed it once and it was high 9's. The new owner has had nowhere near as much track experience as the previous owner. Plus he left the Traction Control ON which slowed him down but gave him piece of mind (it was virtually flashing continuesly) lol. The car's capble of going well into the 8's though with the right Nut behind the wheel

Haha, yeah. It just goes to show that as long as the chassis and brakes are sorted you don't neccessarily need power to be quick on a track It was great fun and soooo much cheaper than everyone elses car on track (The VXR was using a tank of fuel every 4 laps!!!)

UPDATE:
12th October
The Turbo's gone on the Fabia.... Well thats a lie, the Exhaust manifold is badly cracked and can't be welded meaning I need a new Turbo. (The manifold can't be brought seperately apparently)
I was planning to upgrade the Turbo at some point anyway, but unfortunetely its happened just before I was going to spend some money on my Corsa Oh well, she'll have to wait a while longer...
In the meantime i've decided to do the job probably so by monday I shall have ordered the below

Got her running last week and was about to spend a load of money one her But the daily drive needs it first so looks like the Corsa will have to wait the winter. doh!
In the mean time... Oli (DHDev) brought his freshly "Whining" Nova over to take for a spin. OH MY GOD!!! What a Noise I've heard Straight Cut gears many times before but have never been in a car with them
The 2 x 1.6 16v Throttle Bodied beasts together (There's not much straightline performance difference between them actually... The Nova is just quicker it seems)

Hi guys,
Im afraid the owner of the black Corsa has found a buyer for the rolling shell complete so they'll be no bits forsale off it now. Sorry. He's broke it because he's trying to fund his 350z he's brought. But keeping the engine and box to possibly put in a Nova in the future.
Cheers

Thanks for the offers on some of the parts!
Really sorry I had to strip such a nice Corsa. The Zed is ruining my wallet!
Guess what though, the Corsa put far more of a smile on my face!
