They would look good if they were white and as bright as that

went for a drive while everybody else was at work, and found some fantastic roads with no one else using them.
and yes, i had the roof down for part of the journey felt so nice, especially with the heated seats keeping me warm.

i do gav. djgritt mentioned it a while back and i never bothered getting one.
the front bumper has 2 small holes in from the previous number plate, which was held on by screws, so they would need addressing.
i think flybikeslee bought some small covers to sort his, so will have to ask him about them.

sticking this here as a reminder:
thankyou 3CM
need to order the 3/4 plate, but measured it up against the standard one and it's a lot narrower, so a bit worried about potential police issues.

Get a random private plate. It doesn't stand out asmuch then
Red roof win, think it will go wrong though. End up with a marble effect lol

the marble effect on the wheel has gone now, thankfully.
i suppose i could remove just a small part of the black dye from the roof, then apply the red and see what happens.
worst comes to worst, i would just have to remove the small patch of red and re-dye it black.
private plate i want is £400

could work, john.
did you buy the whole 3 stage kit? or just the reviver?
i wasn't sure whether to get the cleaner and ultraproofer, aswell as the reviver.

Still none experienced whatsoever with mine...
It is massively smaller than a normal one, even non-car types i know comment on mine asking if it is smaller, they also ask about the plate size too...

I've got the full kit, it needs at least properly cleaned and then protected, still unsure on the dye bit.

Ben, an alternative to 3/4 plates is simply to have a standard plate made up with the legal minimum margin (11mm). I've got that on the front of my car and it looks much tidier without being a police risk.

Never noticed that before, kyle! Shows how subtle it is.
That is a good option. The only thing is I also want it smaller in height so it fits on the horizontal part instead of overlapping the centre grille arse underneath.
do these plate makers do custom sizes?

I basically had to go to Fancy Plates and choose the "show plates" option. That then gives you a free text field where you can specify what you want.
I asked for a default sized rear plate (to fill out my recess) and a front plate with the minimum legally required spacing.
The "hanger" on my front bumper is sized for a jap sized plate which makes a normal UK plate sag over the edge at each side - my current 11mm margin plate looks so much better.
Thinking of a 6 digit private plate at somepoint in the future which will make it look even better with 11mm margins

just ordered these to replace my side repeater and boot badges:
only issue i have is finding one for the bonnet, which is 70mm. All the ones on ebay seem to be 73mm.

found these also. 4 centre caps, bonnet, boot and steering wheel badge.
20 quid for lot. not bad. hope they look alright.
p.s for the red caliper haters, as soon as the weather warms up i will be painting them black or silver. i like the red when they're clean, but the brake dust soon makes them look dull.

Should get official ones Ben. I always think aftermarket badges look a bit Halfords.
I want a new one for my bonnet but it's about £70 :lol

You can't get official carbon badges for mine, john.
I needed new badges as mine look like they have some sort of disease.
Nothing wrong with these at all. Jambo, you're getting very old and OEM the majority of the people on z4 forum have these and they look fine.

I mean just genuine normal badges. If you like it though as always, that's all that really matters.

Ah ok. I'm not really keen on the blue bits on the badge, it just doesn't fit in when the rest of the car is black or grey. And like the calipers, they stand out a mile when I look at the car.

I didn't like the black wheels at first but they've grown on me. Ive got the same badges on my 330 and I'm considering a 3/4 plate but not sure I can be bothered with being pulled etc.
