Went out for blast on my own as it was a nice night. Managed to become 60th quickest round Whinlatters both red routes. Mental for a fat lad.

I went out with a couple of mates last night after work for a ride round Swinley. Went on the red route for the first time which was entertaining.
We got a bit lost and missed about 4 sections of the trail. Can't wait to get back out there to do it again!

At 6ft I would be looking at around 18/19" unless you are not of normal proportions?. 20" plus are giant sized bikes IMHO.

How the fuck did you manage to get lost. Could understand if you went off piste. I bet you missed seagull, and that little loop.

Is that the height you ran the saddle at when riding? If it is I'd go for a 18" without question.

rough as in? the descents are quite rocky especially the second one. you're better off riding late evening to avoid walkists. its 17-18 mile or 20 if you do the walla crag bit at the start. decent route though. I've done it under 3 hours riding time just pottering about.

It was quite easy. Went through tank traps fine and hung a right up to the crossroads. Took the path which showed the red 3 & 4 markers and followed that. We didn't spot any other markers and shortly after we got to another crossroads. We ended up going through a really fun twist section with trees tight on either side all the way.
Once we came to the end of that section we saw a red 9 marker. No idea where 5-8 were?

Thats a full loop of blue and red. i reckon you missed the turning just past the upper star post(cross roads) at end of red 4.

more miles than the offical trails and most of it off piste. Some of the better trails there are not offical. Get out and explore, you will be surprised.
