Same Ben, I've been wanting to have it done for a while now and my boots got some rust around the wiper grommet which let's the car down

Need to figure out how I'm going to be able to open the boot though

Fit a popper and use the wiring from the rear wiper motor, so just knock the right hand column stalk backwards said to operate rear wiper and pops open

Yeah I was looking into that

Seen these two ones on eBay

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-2-Wire-Solenoid-Motor-DOOR-Lock-CENTRAL-LOCKING-Slave-Pop-Boot-Popper-/400380471055?nav=SEARCH

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Universal-Car-Van-Boot-Trunk-Door-release-popper-solenoid-/141394125005?nav=SEARCH

The first ones cheaper but looks the same as the pics people have posted of there's on here second one looks different so not sure which would be better.

Also not sure on the wiring, I understand it would just use the rear wipers wiring but how would I connect it to that? When I De-wipered I just put tape over the end of the wire and took the motor out.. Think I might just take It to the place that did my horn to a button and get them to do it

Took wiper grommet out, boot lock off and the inside bits out and dropped the car off today to have the boot semi smoothed.

As you can see the boots definitely seen better days.

Also want some opinions on what to do number plate wise as I'm undecided.

Options -

Keep current (normal sized plain plastic with surrounds)
Get normal sized pressed with the surrounds
Normal sized pressed without surrounds
Normal sized plastic without surrounds
Shorter Pressed ones
Shorter plastic ones

Like the idea of a shorter one but not sure if it looks right on the back can't find many photos of a 6 letter shorter plate on the rear

Yeah I've seen yours, I'm still not sure though. I think the rear suits the full size plate more but I think the front could work.

Might leave the rear one as is, and get a shorter plastic one for the front.. That or just take the surround off the front and leave current plate.
