Had a poke around over the weekend as i was bored, and i believe the blowing is coming from the downpipe after the turbo which is a good thing, as should be easier to sort.

was probably caused by the dogbone mount being loose and putting alot of stress on the downpipe.

Was bored so decided to take a look at my petrol flap solenoid which had stopped working when you press the button by the handbrake meaning the flap wouldnt close!

Took the interior trim off and removed the solenoid. started splitting it in half and it popped back out so i lubed it up and all is well again

Thats one thing off the list and it didnt cost a penny

Dad came round this morning with his trolley jack and we got the car higher than a guy on crack

I starte by drilling a small hole roughly in the centre of the bolt, started off 2.5.

but couldn't get the reverse tap in
so enlarged it to 3.0mm and started using th reverse tap and......bingo!

Job done!
I've ordered a few replacement bolts from audi (as VW was closed for stock take) Also ordered a downpipe gasket and was going to order the pendulum mount but i've got my eye on one on ebay at the mo, once i've got those should be laffin

How it shall stay until next saturday!

At least the replacements bolts from Audi will be better than those from VW as it's a better marque
