stupid betting ways!!

I hate this betting over 90mins

I opened a new account with betfair , placed £25 on arsenal which would have been £43 back, plus my £25 stake and my free £25

ok so i didnt loose my original stake as i got a free £25 but i lost out on £93

I made a bit a few weeks back with NFL, thought about betting on NBA/NHL before but not sure which to do, which bets do you do? all out winners or handicaps/points?

I made a bit last night as i had £3 on defoe FGS, returned £25.90

that is only the first time i have won on NHL, that seems to be the most dodgy,

it depends on the bets really, i have a couple on euroleague basketball tonight, three handicaps to get decent prices, will see how it goes on, probably lose as i know nothing about the sport

I had the lunch off the gym today, so i sat at my desk eating my food and looking on betfair, then i thought to myself i'd deposit 20 quid and have a little dabble at roulette. Played for about 20min, cashed out £200 so a productive lunch i feel

wasn't doing any type of system, on betfair they have the zero roulette so theres no '0'

I just started with my 20, and was doing £2 (min bet) on say white, kept doing that alternating and i was looking at the last 10 results and just going by averages and gut feeling. Once i got to £40 i started doing £5 on each. Then when i got to £100 i was doing 5 on colour, 5 on odd/even i did reach £250 but i did 2 big hands as lunch was over, did £25 on white etc but lost both times so i quit on 200

Sorry this betting scheme is utterly stupid...

The idea of putting ALL your money back on every time (like initially described in this thread) - for 41 game's you will get fucked over sooner or later and lose it all.

Though I'm gonna look into it, so you do something like bet half your pot each time - I reckon that'd work better... as the chance of having several consequtive no goals is probably slim enough to get away with it.

Please spare the thread a 3000 word essay on it's merits and disadvantages formulated using flow graphs and pie charts, i think everyone gets the picture already

I think I know what your system is

I used it once, and was succsessfully skimming £25 a day after about 30 mins work... but then it fucked me over.

If it's what I think it is, it's quite similar to this betting scheme - high risk, low reward... so you get small amounts many times, but then if it goes wrong you lose the lot.

However, you may have found a special piece of software that isn't clever enough to work it out (i.e. trying to be too clever to make you lose, which using that system would actually be a good thing).

What site are you playing roulette on?

Its probablly the martingale progression method, the most used system in roulette. Its always the easiest to get addicted to and lose mega money on.

You just double up the bet if you lose, then when you finally win you get it all back and start from square 1 for example

Bet 1: £2 on Black LOSE
Bet 2: £4 on Red LOSE
Bet 3: £8 on Black LOSE
Bet 4: £16 on Red WIN - So you get £16 back which covers your previous bets plus your £2 up.

The problem is people dont know when to stop with it, thinking "oh i must win now" but then dont, by the time thats happened they've lost £100+

the kind of system i was using on the machine roulette in ladbrokes was depositing 50quid , and covering the board so tht every spin brought in a win, sometimes the win would be 3 or 4 quid down, but i always had 4 or 5 big big bets on the board that when they come in i was looking at 100quid up every time they came, so sometimes i would go down 20quid but hit a big bet 2 or 3 times and be up. not flawless but i did walk away with 1100 quid last monday

nice, i don't like the split betting etc on roulette as i don't know a good system to use and what to cover etc. So i stick with pure luck and go with red/black or odd/even!

I was tempted to cover all the best on the table earlier but i worked out i would of lost a fair bit as on betfair the min bet you can do is £2 so would cost alot to cover

yeah betfairs online roulette for spreading the bets is poor, corner bet on every number, 5quid on zero then a few street bets, lots of avenue bets etc some 1quid some 25p then a few bets like 32, 26, 10 , 1, 17, 10 is what i usually do and surround them with 25p and a 50p straight on them. tht day i won 1100 i had zero come in 5 times in 20 spins with 5 quid on it returns 180quid a time

tbh i think roulette is a mugs game, id much rather lose on blackjack when i am at least playing something than relying totally on luck

my mates is addicted to the roulette machines in bookies, he wins quite a bit, but never mentiones anything when he loses

I love people who come on here saying they have a 'system' to win at Roulette. What you really mean is you have a way of playing that allows you to win small amounts a higher number of times than a normal way of betting would, but still in the end you will be fucked over.

as i said. its not a system and its not fool proof, sometimes u win sometimes u lose. its all about ure luck on tht day. its the same with any form of gambling, theres gonna come a time wen ure gonna lose u just have 2 anticipate and cash out when ure up

the thing with betting on games and such is that you can look at current form of both teams, sides being picked, etc. etc. and it allows you to pick your bet accordingly.

With Roulette you dont have this, I see people writing down the last numbers out in the casino thinking that they wont be out for a while again, where the odds are the same for no2 to come out 1,000,000 times in a row as it is for it to be a totally random selection for 1,000,000 goes.
