Nah mate, I'm too girly, picking up a PAS rack for £20 tomorrow.

Hmm, not sure really, didn't want it to just be a flying visit you see, I was hoping I could give you a tentative stroke whilst I was at your palace.

Update

My Dad and I have just finished replacing the steering rack.

What a horrible horrible task it is to do. Took us 6 hours in total.

Problem seems to be fixed now, steering feels tighter than ever as the new rack was much stiffer than the old one.

Just need another ( yes 3rd time) geometry set up.

Update

Saw a couple of parts on Shaunmods' car on Sunday that I had to have so got them bought.

Arrived today and fitted.

New strut brace

Really pleased with how it looks in there.

New interior gaitors

Saw these on ebay for a bargain of £10, proper leather as well, and subtly tie in with my seats.

So epic, very inspiring.

I notice when removing your battery tray you've left the mounting base in place, i've taken mine right out ...

Thanks for all the comments

Shaun: I love the exhaust note but it would piss me off I reckon if it was a daily driver.

Jay: Thanks gorgeous xx

Archie: thanks a lot mate , and I've removed about half of it but couldn't get a drill in to get the spot welds off. So I've just removed the front bit that is strangely bolted in place.

Good choice on the PAS rack, my car is manual and it's horrible. How much did you have to remove to replace the rack? I've got a PAS rack sat in my garage waiting to go in.

It's a horrible job to do to be honest. You need to remove the rear gearbox mount and gear linkage. As well as the ball joint on the drivers side hub.

You'll also need a means of jacking the back of the engine up to keep moving it out of the way.

All I say is good luck!

Oh and you'll want a good selection of extention bars UJs ratchets etc as the 4 bolts are a nightmare to get at.

Update

Bought my self a set of hi/low 6K HIDs picked them up and fitted them today. Really pleased with the look, yet to see them in the dark but I can tell they are a lot brighter then the 100w xenons I was running
