Well you'll be pleased to know I was ok

Very wet day at Snetterton, drove through a snow blizzard on the way there, standing water on track when we arrived. Spun on the sighting laps Was purposely getting the arse out to see just how slippery it was and just got too cocky I suppose, no dramas. A dry line was just appearing as we went for lunch, at the end of lunch another mental snow blizzard which soaked the track again and it never dried after that. Still a very fun day bit dissapointed I didn't get to put the R888's on I just kept my road tyres on which are only just road legal on the rear so that made it exciting aswell.

The snow blizzard at lunch

Car looks amazing, particularly from behind.

Gav I want Carbon ones! But they're £110 for the kidneys and £90 for wing grills so it can wait lol.

It wasn't that bad Ben, just very very wet!! Standing water everywhere!

Cheers guys :-)

Na I will get the carbon ones as it goes with the rear exhaust surround! I can get them dipped for £100 but it's just not the same...

Just would rather spend £200 on something that will make it faster or handle better first so it really will need to be 'spare' money or birthday present maybe!

Amazing how clean it looks tearing round a wet track.

I want to do a track day just to see professional pictures of my car going round corners n' stuff... I just don't want to break my:

Tyres
Brakes
Clutch
Gearbox
Engine
Bumpers
Roof
Neck
Pride

In roughly that order

Photos do the car justice on the 'clean' look! Front end could do with a respray, but I know it'll just end up in the same condition again!

I've just done a very wet day in a RWD car with traction control off....you just stay within your limits. Don't get me wrong I had my moments where I thought I'd gone too hot into a corner but that's what trackdays are about, exploring yours and the cars limits in a safer environment. You'll be surprised what your car is capable of, give it a go!

Been busy doing odd jobs and getting ready for Nurburgring end of the month. Taking gearbox out to try and solve my gear change issue on track by changing lots of bits

Cleaned the wheels and sealed them, they need a refurb really for me to be happy with them

Didn't realise how naughty the rear tyres were, I knew they were close to the limit but I'm guessing Snetterton really finished them off, not bad for 10k miles 2 trackdays & a ring trip

Got part worn rears same tyres from the bloke selling these brand new Michelin Pilot Sport Cups :-) can't wait to try them

I removed my shock to send off to KW in Germany after an advisory on my MOT highlighted that it was leaking

Got this email back today so that's getting sorted after a pricey invoice!

Started removing bits to get the box out to replace clutch, pressure plate, bearing, clutch fork, pin, spring & sleeve. Also putting a braided clutch hose on whilst I'm there.

Removed airbox as precaution incase it got damaged when swinging the engine to get to the bolts at the top of the bell housing

The condition of the calipers has bothered me since buying the car so I decided to finally get it sorted, I thought I'd give the discs a spruce up aswell

One of mine done, much better!!

My list I made of things to buy and do just the to do part now this weekend :-)

Plenty to get on with this week :-)

This will sound really stupid but can you literally just spray your disc :-/ surely you don't want paint on the braking surface :-/

Ah ok mine are rusty on the center part and wouldn't mind spraying them but always thought it wasn't a good idea, but guess it is so will tidy up mine when the weather gets better

Ah ok I didn't realise that you could do that, always thought itd wreck the pads but guess they go rusty on the surface when sat for a few days then a couple of miles down the road it's all gone.

Got my brakes back

Love them!

New parts from BMW to replace in the box, as we were there anyway

Clutch & Pressure plate fitted

Didn't really take any pics of it going back together wasn't anything interesting and I wanted to get it done. Just waiting on my rebuilt shock from KW and I can drive it. Got new centre exhaust rubbers from BMW as the old ones had split aswell to fit. Got to sort my interior mirror out as its annoying not having one too and get my mate round to do my sunstrip. Swap my tyres around, then apart from niggly things I'm ready to go with not much time to spare!

End of this month it is slowly clearing, it's still -10 degrees or something so taking a while. Cold I don't mind but if there's snow is probably cut my losses and not go. But there's still 11 days till I go
