Ive used the augusta and i just fly throught the traffic at high speeds. If you ever spin out quickly drop below 30mph and use the back key to reset yourself the right way round.
There is no shortcuts just very agressive driving for 50 mins

Andy, I found that trying to weave in and out of traffic in a car is quite difficult, especially at speed. A tactic I use is to position yourself on the very edge of the road just by the grass verge. There's enough room for you to fly through without hitting cars in the right hand lane. This should help you out on the straights and save you loads of time.

Thats what I do, the only problem with that is if you go slightly off the road it sometimes sends you into a spin, well it does me anyway

Honestly the best one to use for that race is a fast bike.

yes only really works on the longer straight roads.
I did the 170mph in heavy traffic one by doing this. No need to cross over onto the other lane either

I've done one of the 170mph races, I found it really easy. The ones I can't do is giving people lifts, I always go off the road or hit another car and they moan at me and get out!

Congrats andy i am hooked on the race for all the money.
The standard one is better it is faster in a straight line but a bit scary on the corners
