I've got the socket I need now Thanks to Dansport for kindly lending it to me!
Paul, I've gone for a nice silver metallic for that clean look Dan (cheers mate, owe you big time!) gave me an old x16xe rocker cover he didn't want so I'm having that one done in silver so I can keep the antracite one just in case I change my mind...again
I tried to take my panel down to the bodyshop too but they weren't open today I'll have to try again tommorrow

Have you considered changing the head gasket on the 1.6 whilst it's out, just to be safe?

Yeah Mark is right, the front left hand side engine mount is different on the 12v. I've got my new 16v one on ready Also the wiring is a lot different compared to if you were converting say a 1.2 8v. The ECU has to be relocated as well as its in the actual engine bay on the 12v's as standard.
Check this website out Paul, lots of helpful info

Will do Adam will see you later in the year hopefully when the drifting starts again. If not, at Billing
Got some more progress done today. Not as much as I wanted though. I keep running into little annoying problems.
The first thing we did was to get the front of the car up on to the stands so we could get under it. Thanks to Dan who lent me his 30mm socket I have now got my hub nots undone finally!
Next we set about removing the tie bar/ ARB which came off nice and easy Needs a good clean up and lick of paint though before its refitted.
Then I hit problems. Had a right ball ache with the lower arm ball joint clamps. Rounded one of the buggers off but managed to eventually get the nut off. Then I couldnt work out how to remove the bolt. I couldn't see whether it was threaded or not. Just done a bit of research and now know its not got a thread so it they just need a good hammering to get them out.
Also having problems with the cat/manifold as well on the 1.0. I cant see how you get the bloody thing off the down pipe! I've looked at a few pictures of some others which seem to have a flexi pipe join between the cat and the down pipe, yet mines welded straight on I think im just going to angle grinde it off lol as I cant get onto any of the bolts or anything!
Earlier in the week I got my bits back from the powdercoaters Really chuffed with them! Much prefer the silver to the anthracite. Don't worry the oil cap wont be staying that nasty yellow colour for long
Also got my manifold delivered on friday. Went for the Raceland 4-2-1 stainless steel one
Finally a quite pic of my new radiator I got too! I just need to get a slimline fan for it now
All my panels are away being sprayed at Spice Paints at the minute. They've done me a cracking deal, should have them back late next week

That Manifold is stunning Shaun! I must keep telling myself that my Corsa is not a Project.....The Nova is!
AS for the Drifting boyo, i guess you'll be doing any Snetterton round yes? and the Worlds would be worth a crack at too. if you dont fancy the Camping, your more than welcome to stop at mine....I'm sure Lou wouldnt mind either!
