They play different positions, Henderson is a central midfielder, Young is a winger/forward. So I think we still need at least one centre mid to come in this summer.

Nolan has 2 yrs remaining at 60k a week, he'll be 31 when that ends? Guess Ashley doesnt want to be commited to paying a 33yr old +60k a week for someone at that age.
I cant really say the same about Barton, think he's a year younger?

Seen a couple of reports (admittedly one of them was the daily fail) that we're willing to let smith leave for nothing this summer just to get him off the payroll

Really?! £35k seems ridiculous considering you bought him for more than that Surely they wouldnt have put a RC in that was less than the value you bought him for.
£35k i could stomach, put id much prefer £20k plus Purcell, gets rid of one striker we dont need off the wage bill
