Been out tonight using my new front light. Which is a different experience, especially in the forests. Had a few near misses with trees misjudging my width.

Done about 215 miles ince beginning of september when I started, which isn't to bad I dont think. My fitness is improving now as I can go longer without stopping and am managing hills better. Still need to give up smoking but that will come when i'm ready.

What light did you get stu mounting it on your helmet if possible is the best way to have it

Where abouts have you been going mate?

Hawley and Minley are good around here if you've not been to either yet

Thats my exact stomping ground. Over there 3 times a week. There is a route in Hawley and Minley both used for enduro's that I use, both at least 10k long.

Yeah there's quite a bit across the 2.

If you want to see something freaky, in the middle of Minley there's a big bridge going over some grass/mud, if you cycle underneath there are two doors on either side of the legs of it and one is some shrine to some girl. Scared the shit out of a mate and I when we saw it

I ride under and over the bridge all the time. Noticed the doors but never looked in, will have to have mooch tomorrow night. When I was there last night my ride was halted by the Army for 1/2 hour as they were blowing explosives up on the field at the bottom. Which was fun to watch and I now know what the booming is that sometimes shakes the house.

We sat and watched them for an afternoon once, you understand why we end up hearing so much from there.

Pretty much the same light as me and chris c have got if you cut the strap off the headband and mount that base in your helmet with cable ties so much easier to ride in the dark like that as you can point the light t where you want it rather than where your handle bars point it

Cavendish moving to Omega Pharma Quickstep then? Quite shocked at that, was under the impression he was happy at Sky but I suppose Wiggo is stealing the limelight now?

How can you be shocked its the worst kept secret in cycling that he was going to go there

Rabobank have pulled their sponsorship this morning too so if all the cyclists in that team have to find new teams, I would love to see Renshaw back with Cavendish at OPQS.

Tony Martin and Renshaw leading him out at the tour again would be epic.
