Why does anyone want to loan or buy Carroll? He's bloody awful.

I think Carroll could be an absolutely fantastic signing for a lot our Premier League clubs. I dont think he was given a fair chance at Liverpool as they play a completely different style of football to what he was used to with us. Liverpool must be the only team on earth who spend £35M on a player and not even attempt to play to their strengths.

I think for £35m a player should be good enough to adapt. The problem is Carroll isn't £35m good

I agree with that but when you've got a transfer fee of £35m on your head at such a young age it must be hard to deal with especially with the media constantly banging on about it. Even carroll knows he's not £35m good

I'd be happy with £10m as long as cisse is part of the exchange

Do the same as they did with the Carroll money; nothing and still finish above you in the league?

Colchester signed Clinton Morrison on a free today, him and Freddie Sears up front should be alright for league 1!

£10 million is a ridiculous fee but he had an excellent last season last year.

Dempsey is good player. He's got better every season with Fulham. Fee is a little high but I don't know contract situation at Fulham.

I like Dempsey but one of the lads in the office has just said that he has only scored more the 10 goals in a season once and that was last term, if thats correct it seems like an awful lot of money, especially bearing in mind we only paid £8M for Cisse

Good player Dempsey, as high as 10m may sound he will have a much better first season than Carroll did.

Saw this on Twitter:
'Clint Dempsey wants to join #LFC to "play at the top level". No news from the club on how they plan to transport him back to the 1980s.'
