UPDATE:

5th January 2008

Today we start off with the missus car... for whom I brought some 40mm lowering springs for christmas to stop it looking like a 4x4

Before

During

Mmmm Much shorter!

And fitted

From this

To

And this

To

And finally this

To

Much better

And one happy girlfriend

Next a few more Bora pics... Its been running but soon had to come apart again for more work

3" Straight through exhaust

With subtle silencer

And just to remind you the size of the Turbo

And onto the Fabia

Time for an Oil Change and Gauge fitting

No point getting my hands dirty

Pressure Sensor for SPA boost gauge fitted

Just to prove I still have it I did fire her up to clean the cobwebs out... More work on her soon.... I promise!

Anyway.. back to the Fabia

Gauge Holder needed sanding for gauge to fit

Girlfriends are great

SPA control button (RED) mounted at top behind Fuse cover

And all fitted

I now have Oil Temp & Boost pressure (Oil Temp sensor is in Sump Plug)

UPDATE:

7th Jan 2008

Just a small one. It was -5 degrees outside last night but armed with this

I braved the cold and set about finishing the wiring on my new SPA Gauge.

First off I had to drill through the Bulkhead again for the Wires

Then feed the wires through

And connect up to the Oil Temp sensor in the Sump Plug

And the boost pressure sensor in the EGR Valve blanking pipe. 2.5 Hours that took!!! Lol, all done now though

Time for an update on another car... Dan's RX7 which you might remember from earlier on in this thread. Well during the Winter he's having the Engine rebuilt for 500bhp (it was running 430). Here's some pics from last weeks engine removal and strip

Incase you were wondering... This is what a Rotary Engine looks like

And finally pics of another Engine he's building but more on this soon...

As soon as i've saved enough Penny's.... Hopefully in the next week or two.

Rear ARB on a Fabia is THE single most best Mod i've ever done!!! Totally transforms the car!!! Can't rate it highly enough mate

Its lowerd around 50mm on weitec springs and shocks and has an uprated front ARB. Its pritty quick well handleing car with around 180bhp and 280 lbs ft so i bet your fabias are right laff

What sort of power and torque will yours be makeing? 220+?

Sounds good! Defo worth him buying one IMO.

The Turbo can flow enough air for "upto" 225bhp. So im expecting 210-220. With 330-360lbs/ft Torque hopefully

Do you know how you put it on?

Put mine on in the Ibiza by unplugging the "airbag off" light and turning the ignition on.

I got rid of mine by buying a VAGCOM cable on ebay, downloading the trail version from ross-tech's website.

Then plugged it all in, showed fault codes, cleared DTC's and disconnected.

Magic, all gone

Cost me £7, about 15 minutes of time and there chance to register VAGCOM is there because you always have the cable

If you were closer I'd pop round and do it for you

Fabia's, Golf's, Bora's, Seat's I thought this was a vauxhall club not a VAG club

Cheers Pow I'll give that a go. No not sure how I put it on... Could be from removing the glovebox I think...

Paul, Yes I know... Its turning into a VAG thread

The water seals went in the RX7 Engine. Hence a good excuse to rebuild for more power... I think its getting a "Bridge Port" or something like that if anyone speaks Wankel

Anyway time for some more VAG pics just for Paul Cleaned my Fabia and Mrs Golf today so heres some pics because they won't stay clean for long.
