I take it they're competition engine mounts I can see in the pic. Do youj find it ever catching on bumps? seems pretty big
Yer its only rear viberatic mount as the shell in type 1 and its the only one they do... The mount of exhaust?

am i being dumb here... but why has the pipe off the wastegate got a flexi in it, surely it cant move around that much? i dunno
He did that as a precoursion.. I did ask myself I would rather it have it than bend or crack etc...

Can i ask how much he charged you?
Is the wastegate pipe a single slip over or is in lipped on the inside to seal?
Theres a few tips i could give the bloke to improve his welding finish but thats me being OCD with welding
looks not a bad job
All i will say is mates rates... Lipped inside to form a seal he has done this on lots of cars ince his race Ibiza and none of them blow... Yer a perfectionist of "Tiging" will notice but I'm happy with it! Always easier to notice other peoples work!!! He mainly does tuning and mapping!! I'm happy enough tho

Little Update:
Got a few bits through and managed to get some time in the garage tonight.
New twin 8" fans
Mounted on radiator, will be on the front now as now room at the back!
Radiator in place with fans
Then I started "mocking" the intercooler setup....
Passenger side from cooler to Inlet
Turbo to intercooler
Then I made a pikey intercooler mock :lmao:
Rough sizes and where I'm upto so far
Cheers

The cooler will be a custom item hence the dodgy cardboard mock buid etc... But in talks with Pro Alloy and Forge currently
As for the bumper there won't be much left but at this point of the build its now function over form, I wanted to keep the intercooler piping inside the chassis legs but I couldn't due to space unlike the KKK turbo.
Had bit more time working away on the intercooler design over the weekend and I'm now on plan "B" So this is the current design....

We done the same, made up a cardboard copy with measurements, and sent it up to PACE.
£360, custom made, and was delivered in 2 weeks. This was in 2004 though. But they were very good to deal with.

Not bad price either, I use a pace intercooler on my astra vxr and the quality of welds is spot on
