hopefully the guy sends me the proper ones out without me having to send these back.

Driving home from work last night and 2 miles into my journey the car started to pull left and the tyre pressure monitor system light lit up.

Managed to limp home and have a look. god knows how I got a split in the tyre there. Bit gutted really as it was a goodyear eagle f1 with tread left.

A few weeks ago the same thing happened but it was a slow puncture and I couldn't find the source, so it's probably just got worse over time.

Oh well. £108 lighter but have a nice new vredestein ultrac sessanta on the front

The fact it's in line with a kerb mark would suggest it got sliced on a kerb tbh!

Possibly caught the tyre on the kerbed bit of the wheel then when taking a corner fast / hard maybe?

Bit of a bugger regardless!

partly the reason i buy that particular make first got them in 2008 when they were recommended by the tyre place (quite cheap aswell).

they're definitely a great tyre. grip very well in all conditions and seem to last a while.

think i will buy another for the other front wheel and get the wheel alignment done at the weekend.

got my trimmed down plate through, although theres no BS number so not entirely legal oh well, still looks better than my cut down effort!

may end up getting a plate size inbetween a 3/4 and legal one if i'm not completely happy with this.

He wanted it legal so text can't change.

Looks good Ben.

kyle said you need 11mm margin around the edges to be legal, so i think they are.

they certainly don't look massively different to a legal plate.

i also want a 5 digit private plate, hopefully get that when my mortgage payments come down.

Yep, providing the lettering is the legal size - you simply need an 11mm margin between all letters/numbers and also between the lettering/numbering and the edge of the plate.

Ben is just missing BS mark and postcode of the manufacturer but I that's hardly spottable from a passing copper so he should be alright

Doubt you'll get pulled unless you get a really pedantic Copper. I've been driving for years with plain plates with no BS number etc and on the Birkin we've got a shorter than standard plates on front and back. Had no issue so far.

They're totally fine, you wont get pulled at all. I havnt had a BS number for 10 years on my cars and never been questioned. They look great, much better than your attempt
