He probably would but im happy enough with the strikers we have. Im sure Wellbeck and Hernandez will be at their best this season. Would rather spend the money on the midfield, heard we put a £27m bid in for Lucas which, if true, means Fergie must see something very special in him and would much rather get him than RVP.

'Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed he will allow Dimitar Berbatov to leave Manchester United and will intensify efforts to sign Robin van Persie. '

We've knocked back £20mill bids supposedly. Fergie reckons he's going to let Berba go then step up bid for RVP. Really suprised Utd are will to potentially pay £25m for him. Bit of a gamble imo. He's bound to get crocked.

I seem to be the only United fan out of my mates that thinks its a risk if we managed to get him. 1 good season out of 8 worries me even if that good season was the last one!

That's my thoughts. Potentially £25m is great for us and risky for buyer IMO. Due to his awesome season people have forgotten how crocked he has been.

I said this before. Been talking about it to my mate tonight and said exactly that, one good season isnt enough for me to want him. If an offer of around 15m and berbatov was accepted then fair enough but fuck paying £25m + for him.

I'm a united fan and kenny I must call bullshit a bit. If we sign him and start the season with rooney and RVP you're going to sex wee a bit. A fit RVP is one of the best strikers in the world. End of.
Edit - I think selling Berbatov to any Prem team would be a big, big mistake.

Why is everyone saying one great season?
2008-09: 44 games, 20 goals
2009-10: 20 games, 10 goals
2010-11: 33 games, 22 goals
2011-12: 48 games, 37 goals
For the last four seasons he has been a 1 in 2 or better, and that's a fucking good ratio. It's his fitness that's the concern.
