Im only like 5ft 8 or so, so a light bike helps.. That is the price band im looking at, not being able to get a try/look at a canyon in person puts me off hugely... I am a bit of a trek fan, love my hardtail.

Think i need to look in some shops at them tbh

All the lbs round here have demo bikes, get yourself out and try a few bikes. It won't be long untill 2015 shit will be out so there'll be good deals to be had. Bike are a personal thing. What hits the spot for one will be horrible to ride for someone else.

Also a flash bike counts for fuck all on the mountains as that cunt Barnes proves on his abused bike when he lunches the nobbers with all the gear and no idea. Lol

Think someone been feeding you a load of dribble barnes tbh the spectral is in the dirt 100 is getting mega reviews everywhere. They are not a new company their rd bikes are winning things all over the world every bike company has bad reports somewhere but its usually the minority that complain and make a big deal of it

evans tend to be ok if you like trek go with trek if you do it shouldn't matter what shop you go to then as the prices tend to be the same in most shops for that brand

I find the smaller more independent shops give a better service. They might not always be best on price but they can throw loads of shit in like tubes and helmets and the like.

Try not to get hung up on a certain brand when you have go on stuff you've never heard of or tried, you might get a pleasant surprise.

Buy something that will suit what and where you ride. No point buying a big travel bike that will never be used or ridden to it's potential.

Its more for hammers as i don't think my hardtail is up to red/black runs.

Im not into jumping but love the rough bumpy shit... Need to ideally start trying new places - pretty jealous of the stuff on your doorstep tbh

mates do it, clipped in. If you can ride a bike you can ride a bike. Complaining about a hard tail more shows a lack of skill than it being a necessity.

I have had nothing but a great experience with mine.
From ordering, communication, delivery and the product.

From somebody who works in customer support that's positive feedback.

It is without doubt the best £1500 specced full sus bike I could have bought I believe.

Again rumours spread and said by people who have had no dealings and knowledge of what they are talking about.

I don't know anyone that rides them round here, maybe they are suited better at softer more gentle terrain like down south? I'd not take the risk personally.

They are very popular down south yes maybe thats why the service centre is down here but i probably saw 20+ canyon bikes in wales at both bpw and cwmcarn and its not much different to up north there imho
