Thought you bin dippers rated The Sun as the worst paper
Of course the s*n is the worst paper, but I wouldn't read any of their stories hence the NOTW top the list for plucking trasnfer stories out of thin air, followed by the mail.

Another superstar for the future gone after being average i see
will have made loads of money on him though
I'm gutted he's leaving, I think it's a stupid time to sell. I'm not suggesting he was the best LB ever but he's 21 and still developing and a season with another senior (& fit) LB would have seen him improve alot, he was thrown in the deep end last season.

Also think its a stupid sale, but Purslow is in charge of sales and buys now it seems and has decided its a healthy profit to take as he cost next to nothing (was a swap deal for another Argie kid who cost a few 100k).
He was one of the 'home grown' quota though and should of been kept, even if as a second choice - as now we have zero LBs at the club.

Id be happy if we got Joe Cole tbh, £90k a week seems a 'reasonable' wage for him imo.

Bit of a strange one if he did go there. He's come from title winners and you would imagine he'd be wanting more of the same? Maybe they are the only ones willing to pay what he wants?

Possibly we are, id be amazed if we were given our money issues though.
Maybe he has been guaranteed the likes of Torres and Gerrard wont be leaving this summer so is willing to come to us.

I don't think we'll get him because of the wage demands.

You've already ruled yourself out so dont think you're in with a chance.
And considering you pay both O'Shea and Park similar amounts already I highly doubt you'd baulk at £90k a week.

Surely O'Shea isn't on £90k?

O'Shea is actually on 30k a week, but as he plays in goal, defence and midfield, it all adds up

Wiki saying Sung is on £65k a week, will find the article (was on a United forum) that listed all the players wages and those two were massive for utility players!

tbh he probably demands the wages through the amount of shirts he helps sell in the Far East.

I'd be reasonably happy with Cole so long as we haven't agreed to the rumoured demands he has to play through the middle/as second striker. Need a LB soon or clubs can hold us to ransom, silly move not lining up a replacement before selling Insua as it'll play into any potential selling clubs hands.

Id take Bridge from City if they are signing this new LB - if only so I can hate Terry just a little bit more.
Cant see us (anyone) agreeing to a positional demand tbh.

Yeah true!
And half his family are probably employed over there on 1p an hour to sew said shirts - so its swings and round a bouts really.
