Got any info or advice about them if I was going to buy it?

It's got an AC Schnitzer exhaust that I'd be looking to sell on for a standard one, any idea what they're worth second hand? Can't find any for sale on eBay!

Sorry mate I've been in Tunisia sunning it up, I wasn't being rude

It's quite an old one, so I wouldn't pay more than 7k for it regardless if it's on low mileage, if it's high mileage no more than 6 tbh. You can get the LED facelift rear lights and get them programmed in, that's the main noticeable difference between facelift and pre-facelift tbh.

Seen a PY ones modified tastefully so they can look nice, definetly a marmite colour though!

Check the rear subframe, you're well out of the BMW good will (10 years) so if it's cracked it'll come out your pocket, decent repair will cost £500, the official BMW route replacing the rear floor is 5k+ lol. But done DIY it's not that bad. If it hasn't had the check I would be quite wary, google it for more information there's loads of info out there. Check it doesn't sound tappy, if it does then check when the valve clearances were last done (supposed to be done on Insp 2). If Insp 2 service is the next service and due soon, bare in mind this is at least £500 so price the car accordingly. Depends whether you're bothered about Service History of course, parts prices are the most expensive bit really.

And I have no idea about the exhaust, might get £100 for it or so, backboxes aren't worth much

Cheers for the advice!

I didn't buy it in the end They wanted £8500 for it with genuine CSL wheels on. It already had some LED rear lights on it, tinted fronts and some shite fake carbon bits

It did have full service history though, last one being the Insp 2, and had only done 54k miles.

I didn't want to pay anywhere near what they wanted for it, and my insurance wanted an extra £451 for 5 1/2 months insurance! So that's put me off for a while I'll just have to stick to my Cooper S for now!

Far too much!!

Even for mileage, although wheels are worth 1k it shouldn't necessarily add value.

Definetly keep an eye out if you're interested they do come up cheap every now and again, as you can see by that car you also get the dreamers so I find it's a really hard market to judge what the cars are worth

Changed my track setup to 19" for 3 reasons.
1. I prefer how it looks on 19's
2. I prefer the staggered setup it drives alot nicer and doesn't rub on the fronts
3. Can get part worn tyres with ease

Got some bargain genuine CSL wheels from eBay with 2 front Michelin PS2's that I'll sell on.

And 8 Michelin Pilot Sport Cups for £290. All about half worn, well happy with that!

So now going to sell my TD's with the Cups on, and the slicks I've got.

Was in bmw the other day picking up some parts, noticed they had alloys in the parts shop, was just a normal wheel nothing special some factory 17 or 18 inch for a 5 series, £1600 EACH, not including tyres and fitting how can they justify that

Not a chance Steve, a genuine brand new rear M6 alloy (10.5x20") is £950, that price will be a set.

Well sort of Gav CSL wheels go for £1000 without tyres. These were £747 with Michelin PS2's (only front ones are good) so will sell them on and make the wheels even cheaper, so I'd say a good bargain really!

That does sound a bit crazy Steve, brand new rear CSL wheel is £350!

Good old Miltek. My mate noticed some cracking around the backbox, so got my mate to weld it up

And I took it down to Scott's Motorsport to give it a checkover on the ramps, and change the oil & filter

Getting tyres swapped around tomorrow hopefully, also need an MOT this week

I love the Ch's I want another set as track wheels really love how they look! Yeah 19's & genuine, 8.5j front 10j rear

I haven't mate it hasn't changed since the last pics tbh

Simon this is the 2nd time it's happened now, the brackets connecting back box to mid pipe is rusted to fuck and needs replaced as well really. Certainly not what I'd expect on a couple of grands worth of exhaust

Love this car G! Simply awesome.

All I seen was those Michelin cup tyres being used at the 'ring. They have a good compromise with the insides being a bit more helpful for the wet?

Thanks mate

Yeah they're very popular. It used to be 888's now it's Cups! They're actually pretty bad in the wet lol. So I've been told anyway, if its wet I use my eagle f1's so I don't know yet!

Had to figure out a way to transport a 2nd set of wheels to Ring. Normally just put them in the boot of mates cars but its only me & my mate in my car this time, so I bought this:

Fitted

3 wheels on (1 in boot)

Sorted :-)
