They don't come with badges do they? Going to have to buy some eventually, no big rush tho it's nothing major. Brakes and a service first

no mate. the badges i received when they sent the wrong ones out were exactly like the originals though, so i would buy them from ebay (£5 each) as opposed to £24 from bmw

unfortunately they wanted them returned, else you could've had them for nothing

what brakes you going for? standard replacements or upgraded?

Damn it say they got lost in the post

Think I'm going to get the mtech ones, they seem okay and only 185 for the full set and pads

those mtech ones standard or uprated? seems quite cheap for the full set!

been meaning to do this for ages, and finally got round to doing it today.

had enough of accidently opening the door too much and it hitting the wall, so got some scrap foam from work attached it to the wall so i could open the door onto it, without fear of damaging the paintwork.

not so much a car update, but essential as i now keep the car in the garage most nights.

also, those led number plate lights that looked blue a few pages back, aren't that bad really. must have been a dodgy pic as i had the light off in the garage and they still looked ice white.

same ones in the interior light:

lastly, yet another issue after getting a new windscreen fitted. the rubber seal has split on the corner due to the rubber being too stretched (by the looks of it). the other side hasn't split yet, but it looks like it will do in future.

auto windscreens are coming out again on wednesday to inspect it. definitely needs a new seal though.

Yeah you can get them as standard, grooved, drilled or dimpled or the whole lot for the same price.
Seem good enough. Come with a 12month guarantee.

Have you changed the lights that illuminate the centre console too?

just bought some spacers. was going to buy these a while back and the guy never got back to me. luckily he put them up for sale again and turns out he had forgotten me

2x20mm and 2x25mm spacers.

they bolt onto the hub, then the wheel bolts go into these. saves me needing to buy longer bolts.

jesus christ, i have no bloody luck with this windscreen!

just had the guy round to inspect the problem and he said the only way to fix the split is to remove the whole windscreen and fit another one, aswell as a new seal. the seal actually clips around the glass before it's fitted.

the seal is only there as a cosmetic piece, so it won't leak, but it looks awful split.

he told me to apply some heat to it and see if it will become durable as i could then move it about. at the moment it's rock solid due to the cold weather.

what an absolute pain in the arse!

If it their mistake, you need to tell them to remove the screen and rectify the problem! That's awful.

He said straight away that they will fit a new screen no problem, it's just a ballache

Got to ring up tomorrow and get it booked in.

He said the most likely cause is the fitter re-using the original seal, rather than fitting new stuff.

Some people probably wouldn't be too bothered by it. But everytime I look, I see the split, and it's almost split right through now.

it happens it's their problem to sort out, just a bit of an inconvenience to me, but i'd rather it sorted than leave it.

touch wood, haven't had half as much trouble with this as i've had with cars in the past. had 2 accidents in my corsa, scraped the front bumper of my fiesta in the garage, got hit by a rav4 in the focus, got hit from behind twice in the puma and smashed the windscreen in the fiesta

i really hope i haven't jinxed it!

Tell you what, I can't work out my satnav. It thinks its in Stafford :S if I tell it to navigate from where I am now. It then still starts from Stafford. It's fucked up!

Do you not have to set the home location or something?
