no more than half a mile away at the country club, all too suspect if you ask me.

The only thing telling me it wasnt anyone local like gypos or something is the way they got into, then started an immobilised car

is anything safe anymore?

It don't matter how well your car or any other property is protected, theres always people that know how to get it, and stop at nothing in some cases.
I had a car stolen once so know how your feeling
Not gonna join this "my town is better than yours" thing, but I live in Luton and the cars not been touched. I've parked it in St. Albans late at night twice, and both times its been fooked with. Once was while parked at the plod shop too

a few years back when the escort cosworth came out a bloke down the road from me had one.it was parked on his gravel driveway he used to clamp the wheels and mega alarm on it.but someone managed to get a flatbed lorry with a hoist down his drive and lift it onto the back and it was never seen again.if they really want it they will get it

U dont have to be a Pikey to do that mate.
This is the best method so u dont wake anybody up.
I know a few people that still use this method

not saying you'd have to be a pikey, just that i have my suspicions because I know this area very well. The local do-as-you-likeys are the only people capable of this round here trust me.

Im convinced its someone local because they knew the shadiest little corner of our village, and thats where they took it.

I wouldnt wana know people that jack other peoples cars
