In the end I just didnt bother trying to get grip.

ah I see you have a turbo which is too big and badly designed for your car. nice

No, It has a supercharger also that makes 0.7 bar to 4000rpm, from which the turbo kicks in but the jump from 0.7 to 1.6 is what makes it such fun to drive..

your still a crap driver though if you can't lauch it. I mean such a huge power to weight ratio and the best you can do is 15.5. maybe you should consider a smaller turbo

doooctor peppa, whats the worse that could happen.....

15.5 dont seem bad for a 900cc car, and the launce's surely just need practice.

my car weighs 1000kg and I use 185 tyres and I can launch worse than you however my 1/4 mile times are quicker. 0-60 is such a crap measurement of acceleration.

out of interest you say you got 170hp at G-force (3rd gear run) what torque did you get. I'm thinking 150lb ft?

G force told me I had 171 bhp. But if you read this tread I dont believe its that high. I say its MUCH more likely to be nearer 150. You can see how slow my lauch here is. Before I had 15' alloys my best 60 foot was 2.077. On this 15.5 run it was half a second more!!!

17-Jun-01 1.239 2.077 6.489 10.111 67.58 13.174 15.999 84.13

This was standard setup. Standard turbo standard boost. Somwhere I have it on video as well.

G force told me I had 130 @ wheels. They made that 171, I asked them for an expanation, they never replied.

This graph needs correction. I went on a rr day with the Fiat Coupe turbo club, and they didnt change my car to 4 Pot so all the RPMs under read by 1.25x and the torque (not on this graph) therefor overread by 1.25. I had to correct all the figures in Excel (This is their uncorrected graph)

It shows boost V's gforce BHP. As you can see I did a freespool turbo run, thats the very sharp rising one. I needed to know this information to help me plan future mods.

wot i love is the fact that they say things like, "cant they see the jap light" i think we can considering that all of us dream about owning cars like MR2's, skylines, RX-7/8's etc but they are expensive and a micra isnt a cheap version of jap light its a piece of jap shit

and come one if u paint the new micra pink stick a flower on the bonnet its just like the old barbie cars and the old shap god help me they do look like baseball caps

Thing is at the end of the day, the majority of Corsa-Sport users are a bit more intelligent than probably your average modified corsa owner. (As we have to have some intelligence to be able to use a computer )

However, I must admit that there are a lot of really crap corsa's with wheel / exhaust trims and stick on washer jets, racing about with their 1.2 8v engine's - drivers wearing base ball caps etc...

Just because that doesn't ^^ match anyone on this site, you can't deny it's true.

Same with Saxo's and I'm sure micra's. There are probably some decent saxo owners, with nicely modded cars and a bit of sense. but the one's we know and usually judge saxo owners as - are the burbery cap wearing, boy racer knobs that you see about.

thing with micra's is I tend not to see them driven about by boy racers that much, but rather - Old Aged Pensioners, or Indians, that have 'Learning school of punjab' down the side.

My mate got given a micra by his parents and everyone I know laughed at him

Corsa Standard - Looks shit...

Micra Standard - Looks shit...

Corsa Modified Well - Looks good...

Micra Modified Well - Possibly looks good

Corsa Modified Badly - Looks bad

Micra Modified Badly - Looks bad...

See the trend guys... Just judge each as it comes and don't try to stereotype a certain group, just because of the car they drive.

I'm sorry but i can admit that there are nice Saxo's out there but i've honestly yet to see a nice modified Micra.

Show me a nice Micra and i'll eat my hat. I've seen some in magazines but none have been nice. One was on 18's
