Errr come on then sherlock, tell me how then?

0-60 will be slower, V6 engines are not meant for bottom end, then are a cc engine based for motorway miles. Once they get up to speed it'll pass a redtop, but a redtop corsa will do 135-140, a V6 will hardly do much more than that.

Beside, Beardy assumes a V6 is a redtop

Even the very lowest spec V6 produces 20% more torque and significantly more power than the red top. Do the maths Daimo and don't be so fcuking arrogant

bit unrelated but seen as your talking bout v6

there is a brand new turbo and manifold for vaux v6 on ebay, was 100 quid when i saw it today i think

dont shout if im wrong though

im sure last of the line N reg cav's had the ecotec V6. Besides, i thought they were all ecotec designated?

what a lot of you dont seem to realise is a v style engine has so much more torque its unreal my rvf 400 is a v4 and up against a fzr 4oo (inline 4) mine will pull away till the top end when the inline 4 starts to work for its self

remember its torque that pulls not bhp

No - the biggest factor in torque in most normally aspirated production engines is capacity. The V6 has more torque than the 2.0L redtop mainly because it's a 2.5L engine (hint - 2.5 is bigger than 2.0)

V configuration can make things smoother especially at high revs

yes, I have a 2L V6 Mazda as my 'sensible' car - the burble it makes is very pleasing
