The average salary before tax is 30k + now anyway isnt it?

Id have thought you'd have to be earning a really decent wage to afford one..

Average wage is not over 30k, not by any stretch of the imagination.

And also, please read the post. He said before hes 30. I get the impression that he's early/mid 20s at the moment and on 36k already, so to own a 50k car by the time hes 30 isn't unreasonable.

i am sensible..... sometimes..... ish

just ask folk that have met me hmmm

i dont think its that far fetched an idea...

my basic outline of a plan..

I should be getting an 8k'ish tax rebate this year (next april) - use that as a deposit for a flat to rent.

or use the skyline as a deposit sooner.... i dont really need it after all.

at some point buy another flat (partownership with either my folks, GF or brother) to rent....

sell the 1st flat, buy a ferrari off the profit and get a cheap flat to do up and rent again.

walla
