Hard pushed to beat a VX220T for what its meant for though. MUCH better than the Elise as a standard model (i'd say better than these 190 models as well, with scope for improvment).
Wait for the VXR Version.
Its not better than the new Elise with the Toyota 1.8VVTi engine. And the VX220 looks foul compared to any elise. (or any other car)

Oh behave? They are both gay, just the Elise looks like someone used something other than a ruler to style it.

182, best hot hatch ever?? nah i dont think so it will never compete with 205 gti's
corsa gsi? as said would have to be cheap as always and lets face it, never gonna match up to french hot hatches for speed.
vxr astra front wheel drive?? as i stated before in another thread why oh why did they not do a 4wd or rwd for this?
your a fool if you believe that
i am not claiming its the best ever just saying the 182 isnt
what do you think is the best?? its all down to personal opinion at the end of the day though

182 with cup set up is far better than the 205. the 182 is the best handling FWD car you can buy for under 20K brand new

well said ross, the 182 is currently the best hot hatch ever. It combines good straight line speed with pin sharp handling, looks good whilst retaining that important "sleeper" element, and availablle for a good price. Also, well made cars which will stand up well over the years.

Its a great looking car and is basically a 3 door holden HSV! the sound these things make is incredible. A friend out here in oz has a holden UTE - pickup with the 3.5 v8 basically a 350 chevvy lump in a pickup with buckets and air con and full bodykit! This is his work horse! They retail at $40,000 and is hell of a car for the cash!
Also is the new sleek looking honda integre type r out back home??
I remember the HSV monaro just coming onto the scene back in 2001 when i was in auz. Saw a few buzzing round brisbane CBD. Fantastic car, and much better than the old commodore V8.
