I don't like flags everywhere on stuff as it's usually just people jumping on the bandwagon.
BUT
On the other hand, it does make me smile to see people actually giving a shit about something every 2 or 4 years.

I agree people should display their flags more often, n ot just for tournaments but those of us who like football just take the opportunity to show the flag of their own country, nowt wrong with that in my eyes.

Personally I don't really see how having a flag on your car equates to "supporting" the country's football team. Any money is going to some random company who makes these things (my dislike for them is based on how stupid I think it looks having a flag on your car) so nothing goes to the team to show that you want them to win, presumably they know that the country wants them to win anyway, I mean who wouldn't? It would be cool if we won but I'm not really bothered and won't cry for 3 days if we don't.

Some of the people round my way arent taking kindly to hundreds of tourists with England flags stuck to the car
Doesn't bother me personally but i still think it looks ghey to have any sort of flags flapping from your car

we have Saltires on the roofs of both our track cars
They arent for world cup, or support for X Y Z. I'm proud to be Scottish, and think they look good on the roof of both cars.
I think any flag stuck on a wee pole is a bit limp though.
