I wouldn't even dare trying anything like that now

Though when I had 132 mph on the clocks of my gti I was only doing about 122 mph on the road angel.

remember that steve as you think your aiming for 155 mph on clocks which could infact be 165

155mph be 165mph?

Don't you mean the other way around homo?

Cav Turbo/Cally Turbo clocks only got to 160mph

Steve, you better not be racing any dark blue Golfs, there is an un-marked Police Golf rolling about the place now

I was driving down the Ring Road the other night in my Cav, my mate was with me, anyway we pulled up to the lights, I was in the left lane, a Ferrari driven by some old git in the middle and a mk4 Astra GSi turbo in the right lane.

The GSi took off, I gave chase, the Ferrari didn't even bother going fast!

Still, my Cav wasn't too bad, I managed to keep up with the Astra by about 5 car lengths, not bad for a 170bhp 12 year old car!

yeh I meant - he was aiming for 155 mph on the clocks - but he actually has to aim for 165 mph on the clocks to get 155 mph in real life.

Exactly! So he think's he's almost at 155 mph by seeing 140 mph on the clocks - but may only be doing 128 mph.
